Heirloom Rings Re-Designed Into an Engagement Ring Suitable for Caroline's Style and Taste!

Josh proposed to Caroline with his grandmother's diamond ring. Later on, he also gave Caroline his great aunt's diamond ring. Each heirloom ring had a 0.50 carat Old European cut diamond set in the middle. In addition to the two rings, Caroline and Josh bought a 1.0 carat Old European cut diamond. The idea was to have the two heirloom diamonds set on either side of the 1.0 carat diamond. Here's an image of the two heirloom rings after I took out their center diamond.

Caroline showed me images of three stone engagement rings in yellow gold. She wanted a clean design that will incorporate the three diamonds. Caroline is gorgeous, she has long blond hair and likes nature and gardening. My vision of Caroline is someone from a fairy tale book, which inspired me to do either wings of a fairy or a butterfly motif on the engagement ring. Since I wanted to keep the ring clean, I decided to do the fairy wings.

The side view shows a tiny fairy wing that I put only for the middle basket. There's one fairy wing detail on either side of the center basket. It's hand engraved to catch the light. The band of the ring is hand engraved with three wing details.

This view shows the detail of the hand engraving. The band rises up to the side basket in a pointy shape and the three wings also follow the "V" shape of the band.

Here's another view showing how the band rises up to the side basket with it's fairy wings design hand engraved on top. Josh ended up surprising and proposing to Caroline again, for the second time! This time it was with her golden engagement ring, just in time for Christmas! Congratulations to a very lovely couple!
