About more than a year ago, Peter, a young gentleman came to my studio interested in a custom made engagement ring for his soon to-be fiance. He had the diamond which we were going to use for the center and was interested in a design that would be similar to the vintage turquoise and diamond ring that is on my website, in the Bridal collection. I drew a few versions of that ring with a slightly more contemporary band, so the ring will be a combination of romantic old-world and looking forward to the future. The center diamond is an older diamond with transition cut and it is a gift from Peter's mom. The version that Peter picked, is shown above. I matched eight pieces of round brilliant cut diamonds to Peter's diamond and had them bead set with milgrain around the edges. Here's a side-view image of the ring showing two small round brilliant cut diamonds on either side of the ring.
