The Diamond Tiara Worn By The Duchess Of Cambridge Is On Display In Paris

The tiara worn by the Duchess of Cambridge, on her wedding day to Prince William is at Cartier Style and History Exhibit in Paris. The exhibit will run from December 4th through February 16th at the Grand Palais in Paris. This will be one if Cartier's biggest ever exhibition showing iconic jewels made and worn by royalty and Hollywood legends.

It has 739 brilliant cut diamonds and 149 baguette cut diamonds. King George VI commissioned Cartier to make the halo tiara in 1936. It was a gift for his wife, Elizabeth, The Queen's mother. The Queen Mother then gave the tiara to Queen Elizabeth for her 18th Birthday.

Among the exhibits will be Grace Kelly's engagement ring, a 10.47 carat emerald cut diamond, given to her by Prince Rainier of Monaco.

This unique exhibit shows jewels made by Cartier throughout history and worn to the present day. Another example is a diamond hair piece made by Cartier in 1902 and worn by Stella McCartney to the Met Ball in 2012. For more information visit grandpalais.fr.
