Transforming an Outdated Heirloom Ring This is Nairi's ring which she inherited from her mom. She asked me to take it apart and use the gems to make a new ring, some thing more her style, so she can wear it as a cocktail ring. I don't think all old pieces should be touched and so was my opinion of this ring, so I gave it back to her and suggested to just wear and enjoy it as it is. After some time, Nairi, brought the ring back and suggested what if I make two pieces that would sit on either side of the ring. This would change the look without changing the original piece. I liked her idea and sketched a couple of designs that would be suitable for her hand and the occasion that the ring would be worn. She picked the one that I had named "The Sunshine" ring....

Making a ring is truly magical. It goes through many stages until it reaches it’s final form. I want to show a couple of stages that Maggie’s ring went through before it’s beautiful diamonds were set.
