Often customers are looking for a clean diamond eternity band that would sit flush with their solitaire engagement ring with proportional height and width. Most ready-made diamond eternity bands will sit at a higher level from the average solitaire engagement ring, showing a good amount of metal on the sides which hides the engagement ring and the prongs will usually be slightly thick to accommodate for different diamond sizes, since in ready-made pieces, each diamond is not measured for its diameter. Diamonds are usually picked from a parcel that has a range of millimeter sizes.
Such was the case for one of my customers. Tracey wanted a very clean looking diamond eternity band that would sit beautifully with her solitaire engagement ring. The ready-made diamond eternity bands that she had tried were all higher than her ring showing a lot of metal on the sides and in between the diamonds.
The only way to achieve this look is to have a diamond eternity band custom made for your engagement ring and also suitable for your hand. First, I measured the height and width of Tracey’s engagement ring, then according to her finger size and the specific diamond weight that she wanted, I calculated the appropriate height of the band and the exact millimeter diamonds that once set next to each other, will give the clean look of a “sweep of diamonds” next to a clean solitaire ring.
Here is a side view of the band showing the Cynthia Britt signature “V” split on two of the prongs ( at the top )which is on either side of the ring. The height of the metal will always be calculated and custom made for your individual needs and the prongs will be very refined, since each diamond is measured.
Tracey, enjoy your beautiful band and any body who would like a custom made diamond band, I would be delighted to start calculating and measuring metals and diamonds to make your beautiful diamond eternity band.
