Emily loves the vintage look, and as an artist herself, she's detail oriented and has a romantic look and style. Detail oriented hand-engraving, leaves, crowns and establishment is the most suitable look for Emily's style and hand structure.
I started with making the center basket of the ring first. I did the measurements based on Emily's own center stone. I made a frame for the center stone that would be later hand engraved. I wanted a romantic and elaborate basket, so I made three leaves, side ones cut-out and the center one would be set with one piece of 1mm diamond. Then I finished the basket with a double row of milligrain so that the entire center would have a reminiscence of a crown!
The band was going to be tapered and set with graduating diamonds and I calculated and made every measurement so that the sides of the ring would get hand engraved with a leaf motif that would suit the leaves on the basket.

I made Emily's engagement ring in multiple pieces, as that was the only way I could achieve this amount of detailed hand work and polish.

Every custom piece that I make, I have the best craftsman work on a specific detail of the ring. After I finished making the ring, I had the engraver first hand engrave the halo and the basket, then I assembled the basket and they were in multiple pieces, then the diamond setter set the center stone and the graduating diamonds on the band. Then once again, the engraver took the ring and completed the entire engraving of the leaves and motives on both sides of the ring. The entire ring was then polished by the polisher.

Emily's engagement ring is a unique work of art. It will be different each time I make it, because of the amount of hand work that has gone in the entire ring.
Congratulations to a modern day romantic couple!
