Emerald Cut Diamond Engagement Ring For Jennifer

Jennifer's ring is a surprise engagement ring! First, we needed to choose the right shape center diamond. The choice was between a princess cut and an emerald cut. So I brought in both, to compare, and based on Jennifer's image and her hand structure, the winner was the emerald cut diamond. Next, I started looking for a beautiful emerald cut diamond that would be in the 3 carat range, colorless, minimum inclusions and a beautiful cut. I brought in several diamonds to look at and even though they were are beautiful, none compared to this beautiful 3.64 carat, H color, VS1 clarity emerald cut diamond. Once the center diamond was chosen, I started looking for side diamonds. I brought in the usual trapezoid cuts, tapered baguettes and smaller emerald cuts, as well as this unique shape that caught my eye while I was picking out the side diamonds. It's "epaulette" cut diamonds, French for should pads!! And the epaulettes were the winner! Next I sketched the design:
