Isabel Mathews –
I’ve always loved jewelry and wanted more than anything to design my own ring. My boyfriend (now fiancé), knowing me well, gave me complete creative freedom when it came to designing my ring.
I did a random search on Google for jewelry designers in Boston and that is where I found Cynthia’s website. I immediately emailed Cynthia and set up a consultation with her at her Newbury Street studio.
Cynthia’s love of all things of quality is apparent form the moment you walk into her quaint Newbury Street office. The care she puts into everything she owns is easy to spot—from her 100 year old chairs to her tasteful accessories.
Cynthia is kind, incredibly talented and most importantly has an engineering degree from Boston University. I’ve never met a jewelry designer/maker with more outstanding credentials. Cynthia showed me through her 3-demensional drawings how much of jewelry design is attributed to the correct calculations and has said to me, “so much of jewelry design is math.”
I provided Cynthia with my two carat round diamond and I felt completely comfortable leaving it her care. Through our long talks Cynthia also mentioned how fair her diamond prices are, so, if you have yet to buy your diamond, I would highly suggest purchasing it directly form Cynthia for an overall best value.
Most importantly in my case, her prices for the metal, setter and designing the piece were incredibly resonable. It was clear from our first meeting that she loved what she did for a living and wasn’t doing it solely for a profit.
At your initial consultation, Cynthia will study your hand and provide you with ideas on what will look best on your hand shape and overall coloring. Cynthia’s aim is to create your dream ring, custom designed exclusively for you.
I showed Cynthia pictures of a Neil Lane ring that I liked and she improved upon it and created nothing short of a masterpiece—something that I hope to pass down for generations.
Her connections in the jewelry industry should be of note as well as she works with the best diamond setter and polisher in Boston and beyond.
I can’t wait for Cynthia to help me design the wedding band of my dreams in the upcoming months.
Cynthia’s work is flawless—she will make your dreams come true as she did mine.
Thank you, thank you!
